Hello everyone, thanks for sticking around over the last few years of semi-dormancy.
Life got busy, and I couldn’t find the time to delicate to giving the site the reboot it needed and deserved. Week turned into months, month, a year, and so on to where we are today. Earlier in the new year, I decided to make it my goal to get the site back up and running, and here we are.
Bear with me as we have some inevitable growing pains, but I’m glad to see you all suck around and have all come back. The passion for local history is alive and well, and you’re all examples of it.
For the immediate future, I’m going to aim to post twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday. Maybe as time goes on, and my time allows, posting may increase in frequency, but it’s an unbelievable amount of work… 🙂
As always if you have anything you’d like to contribute, get in touch with me via the Contact page.
The site is a little different, I’ve worked to incorporate maps into all the posts. There’s a marker to show where the building is or was.
Red markers signify the subject has been demolished
Blue markers signify the subject is still standing
Green markers signify the subject was proposed, but never built.
You can find this explanation going forward, along with the breakdown of the areas of the city on the About page.
Thanks for your patience and welcome back.
