Prince of Wales Demolition – January 2009

  • Prev
  • Next

Hard to believe that a decade ago, at the end of January, 2009, the University of Windsor, knocked down the former Prince of Wales School and shortly after, began construction on what is today the Engineering Building. The closure of this, and other schools across west Windsor, helped to hasten the demise of the part of town, as a family centered neighbourhood. As schools closed, families left, which in turn led to even further declining enrollment, and further school closures.
