Designed by architect Kenneth G. Rea, who was the main architect for the Bank of Montreal at that time, this Bank of Montreal branch was built in 1919, and sat at the north west corner of Ottawa & Walker in Walkerville.
This beauty was demolished in June, 2008, and was replaced with a garbage dumpster and a fence. Seriously.
I was going through some old photographs of buildings lost to the landfill the other day, so expect to see some blasts from the recent past here over the next little while.
